Paramount Guitar Tuition Blog

Friday, 3 April 2015 -

Hi, Michael Groebel here. Yeah, yeah, I know. It's been a really long time between this post and the last one. What can I say - a lot's been going on. But you don't wanna hear any long-winded explanation from me, so I'll cut to the chase and get down to business.

I've been working hard, doing the first 25 designs for my brand new website for 2015 - which is now up and running. So if you have time, please check out the site and let me know what you think of it. All feedback is welcome, good or bad.

Some of my students, and also other contacts, have recently been asking me why I want to create Guitar t-shirts. My response to that question is, "I love the Guitar, I love the huge variety of styles you can play on the Guitar, and I love anything related to the Guitar, and t-shirts with Guitar designs on them are related.

So when you think about it, wearing clothing that promotes Guitar Music, Guitar Players, Guitar orientated Bands, music styles that emphasis Guitar Techniques, types of Guitar brands, etc., you're celebrating the awesomeness of the Guitar, and that can only be a good thing.

Aesthetically beautiful designs that show the Guitar in all its splendour and make people think about the Guitar is a positive thing. And if it makes them pick one up and start learning to play it, then that person has begun a rewarding journey that will eventually give them an inner peace that only other guitarists can relate to. It might sound corny, but it's true, take the journey and you'll see for yourself.

Okay, I know, that's enough with the profound philosophical statements. Getting back on topic, my inspiration for these t-shirt designs come from many places, such as Guitarists, styles, types of Guitars, humour, blending of different objects or ideas and making them work with the Guitar to show contrasts, similarities, complimenting shapes, and so on.

A lot of my design ideas come from my imagination, and a lot come from pop culture, things I see, hear, experience, or own.

I'm planning to do many, many more Guitar T-Shirt designs, but just like writers block, I occasionally get designers block. So if you fellow Guitar Lovers out there have any ideas for things you've always wanted to see on a t-shirt (remember though, your idea has to include a Guitar or Guitars) then contact me and we'll make it happen.

Okay guys and gals, until next time, it's bye from me.
Happy Guitar playing,
